Terms of Use

These Terms of Use explain the basic rules for using Spot the Answer, a real-time multiplayer quiz and party game for iOS and Android provided by SmithScript. They are written to be clear and practical, not as legal advice.
Use of the app
You may use Spot the Answer to create and join quiz games, play multiplayer rounds, manage your profile/avatar, add friends, track stats, earn rewards, view leaderboards, and use available free or premium content. You are responsible for using the app lawfully and respectfully.
Accounts
Spot the Answer uses account creation/sign-in so your profile, friends, stats, purchases, and progress can be linked to you. You must provide accurate account information where required, keep your account secure, and not share access in a way that causes abuse, cheating, or platform misuse.
Multiplayer conduct
Be respectful to other players. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, disrupt games, exploit bugs, post inappropriate profile content, or use Spot the Answer to harm others. We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate access where we believe conduct is abusive, unsafe, or unfair.
User-generated profile and avatar content
You may be able to choose a display name, avatar, or profile image. Do not upload or use content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, abusive, misleading, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate. You are responsible for the content you choose. We may remove or restrict profile/avatar content that breaches these terms or creates support, safety, or moderation concerns.
No cheating or abuse
Do not cheat, automate gameplay, manipulate scores, reverse engineer the app for abuse, interfere with Convex backend services, attack authentication systems, exploit purchases or entitlements, or attempt to bypass platform rules. Fair play matters because Spot the Answer is a live multiplayer game.
In-app purchases
Spot the Answer may offer optional purchases such as premium quiz theme bundles and All Access. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and entitlement management is handled by RevenueCat. Your purchase is also subject to the Apple App Store or Google Play terms that apply to your device and account.
Premium quiz themes and All Access
Premium purchases may unlock selected quiz theme bundles, All Access, cosmetics, or other app content. Host-owned premium themes may be playable by guests in that game session, but guest access during a hosted game does not transfer ownership or ongoing entitlement to the premium content. Features, content, names, and availability may change over time.
Restore and manage purchases
You can restore purchases in the app where available. You can also manage subscriptions, cancellations, refunds, and payment settings through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. SmithScript does not directly process card payments and may not be able to issue refunds outside the platform processes provided by Apple or Google.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Spot the Answer available and working well, but real-time multiplayer apps depend on networks, backend services, stores, devices, and third-party providers. We may update, pause, remove, or change features, questions, rewards, themes, cosmetics, pricing, or availability where needed for reliability, safety, product improvement, or platform compliance.
Disclaimer
Spot the Answer is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or available in every region. Quiz content is provided for entertainment and may occasionally contain mistakes. Please report question issues through support.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, SmithScript will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business arising from use of Spot the Answer. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and may request account/data deletion by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have breached these terms, abused the service, created risk for other players, or caused technical, legal, or platform compliance concerns.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use Spot the Answer.
